I fly radio controlled helicopters, not the easiest to fly, but a great challenge. I started flying helicopter when I was working in Malaysia. There were no flying club there so I had to teach myself, took a while, had several crashes but got there in the end. Just a quick systems check in the garden to make sure all is working correctly, before heading off to the flying field.
